Pin Trading

What is "Pin Trading"?

After its resounding success at Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California and Tokyo Disneyland, on 6 October 2001, Disneyland® Resort Paris began a new tradition of Disney Pin Trading which has since achieved success of its own.

Pin Trading is a fun and entertaining way of sharing the Disney magic with others like yourself, as well as over 1,000 Cast Members (Disney employees). Pin Trading has become a true Disneyland® Resort Paris attraction.

Cast Members participating in Pin Trading will wear a lanyard with about a dozen pins. The pins are not up for sale, but are intended for trading at the various encounters and upon request by guests.

An exclusive Disneyland® Resort Paris collection was even created. Every month it is renewed and enhanced with each series featuring a limited edition of exclusive pins to mark various events such as Pin Trading's second birthday or Stitch Christmas Event

Every time a pin is traded between a guest and a Cast Members, it is accompanied by a story or an anecdote which enables collectors to enhance their knowledge of the Disney universe.

Pin Trading Rules

To become a part of this new Disney tradition, here are a few rules you should follow:

  • Pins may be traded with Cast Members or guests wearing a lanyard.

  • When trading a pin with a Cast Member, the guest should offer a pin that is not already displayed on the Cast Member's lanyard.

  • Only Disney pins will be accepted for trading: they must be made of metal and represent a Disney event, place, character or icon.

  • Trade one pin at a time, hand to hand
